The RTT monthly support-group is to support and help teachers who find ourselves teaching in a COVID/Zoom world. RTT helps teachers overcome any feelings of overwhelm. RTT promotes self-care and self-development.
If you’re feeling like “is this what I signed up for?”, you’re not alone. I know that feeling all too well -- that feeling of overwhelm in and out of classroom with so many students to teach, an online or in-person classroom to manage, parents to communicate with, as well as, PLC’s (Professional Learning Communities), staff meetings, and PD’s (Professional Developments).
It can be challenging, to say the least, to manage all of that. That’s why having a supportive environment where teachers can relax, talk, and get the resources we need in order to know we are in this together, and no one is alone, is paramount to being able to do our jobs well while being the best we can be.
The key reason the RTT online support-group was established, is because I am on a mission to support and help the people close to my heart -- teachers -- the heroes who deserve double respect and double honor.
The RTT on-line support-group is a place of ongoing support with resources that help teachers manage and improve self-care. One of the ways we support teachers is through monthly group sessions which meet online.
